I'm 18, I would work out 6 days a week. mon: chest and cardio. Tue: biceps and cardio. Wed: tri and back. Thur: shoulders and legs. fri: rest. Sat: cardio. Sun: cardio (although not always some days I take another est). I wouldn't be strenuously lifting weights. I'd average about 8 reps of 3 sets, and 4 exercises per body part. I Take whey protein before and after exercise. I stretch well. I eat 4 meals a day. I eat fruit and veg and drink plenty of water. Can anyone give me some tips on what to do/not to do? Only if you know your stuff please! Oh and I checked with a doctor, 1 rest day is adequate. I'm also big build, 6 foot and weigh about 80 kg,
Answer on Would I get results doing this exercise/diet?
Personally I would spread out your weight lifting a bit, and move the cardio days on Saturday and Sunday between your weight lifting days. Also, you want to be strenuously lifting weights, ideally 3 sets of 8-10 reps at the maximum weight you can manage. If you can still lift another set at that weight after you finish the third set then your weight isn't high enough.
Also, try to get any carbs in your diet for breakfast and directly after your diet, and avoid carbs in your evening meal if at all possible.
I'd also advise you read this free ebook, Brain over Brawn, it'll help you understand more about diet and exercise without trying to sell you crappy gimmicks or diets : http://brainoverbrawn.com/get-the-book
I suggest you do Weighted Incline Sit-ups a couple of times a week at least, it's very good for abs, and when your fat goes you'll see the benefit:
