I want to lose 50 pounds in 6 months. I have been told this is possible from people, by training hard and staying on track. But id like to hear your opinion. I wont be doing a shitty short-term diet. Im setting myself up on the right track for 2011. Ill be doing a well respected fitness program, desiged to loss weight and get you ripped. I want to know your answer, how hard it will be to loose 50 pounds in 6 months. Note that i will be doing all intense training and eating right.

Average weight loss is only 9-15lbs a year, so this is a long term lifestyle issue, requiring both an appropriate diet and very regular vigorous exercise. Setting such an unrealistic target does nothing to help your chances of success.
