Hello I am into Greeks movies & also like Troy or 300. I was thinking renting "Spartacus" on HD-DVD on Netflick & I want to know is it worth watching it???????

Thank you!

Answer on Hello has anyone seen Spartacus? Is it worth renting on Hi-Def DVD?

Spartacus came out in 1960 and was suppose to be this epic by Kirk Douglas who wanted the title role in Ben-Hur but didn’t get it so he went out and put to gether Spartacus. Wait let me stop my self I’m combing things about Caligula and Spartacus. But any way It is a good movie, bit more like Gladiator was than Troy or 300 (mostly b/c its Roman and not Greek) but is a great movie won 4 Academy awards so it is defiantly worth watching But while your at it make a day of it an watch Caligula as well.

Caligula was probably the most flamboyant Roman Emperor there was and this movie does a good job of getting that across but this movie is a little bit more...ummmm.....raw than your average 1960's movie and both Caligula and Spartacus had similar production issues. But Caligula is a great movie if you don’t mind sex and violence, its kind of how you would expect Rome to be.
