Well, I am a 15 year old girl, and I am a virgin. I dont think my weight and height really matter.
So it has been three to four weeks already and my period hans come back. i am really concerned now. Its not becuase I "just got it", I actually had my period reguraly for three years now. Only NOW has it not come back.
MY CONCERN: I usually ate alot when I was younger, even last year. I have no idea what my caloric intake was, all I know is that it is ALOT more than what it is now. For the last three months I have decreased my calorie intake to 1,200. And my mother says Im "starving myself" etc. I try to eat all my nutrients etc. I just eat less. Is this why my period hasnt come back? Becuase Im not eating enough? Or is it fine?
Im really concerned, knowing that I can screw up my system and maybe not have kids. Again, it hasnt came back in the past 3-4 weeks and there was no sighn of it. I dont keep track of the cycle however. Should I give it another week? Is my diet really the issue, I dont think it is and I hope not. :S
If this is helpful-I used to be a 145, and in the past month I lost about 10 pounds just from eating healthier and less. I really hope and dont think this is the problem-but is it!

Your diet is the issue, as your mother suggests. 1500 calories is the absolute LEAST amount of calories any person should intake if dieting. Even small children are supposed to eat 1500-2000 calories.
Lack of sufficient nutrients and calories can cause amenorrhea, which is lack of periods. Usually you would have to be eating an insufficient amount of calories for several months before this would begin. Amenorrhea is common among anorexic individuals (which, I'm sorry to say, you are considered anorexic, because you regularly consume under 1500 calories/day).
If you start eating more, even just slightly more, I'm sure your periods will return.
