Answer on What do you think of Italy?

Howdy.! I am a well traveled New Yorker........now living in Italy....and I think it's a fine enough country......and it will be great when they are done with it, as we like to say in New York!

(Meaning that it's ALWAYS changing, and ALWAYS something new to see!!!!!!! )

People are always ranting about Rome and Venice on this board.......but I had the best time EVER in Catania!!!!!!

I LOVE Sicily! Catania was just amazing for me.........memories of a lifetime!

As for food..........well, nuts...........I had the "misfortune" to settle down in the LIGURIA region.......known for it's GARDEN dishes........

all my friends think I spend my days eating world class pizza and lasagna, and spaghetti..........but that's more south.....in Naples.

Here....it's all pesto, and Torte Verde........and weeds from the garden.... and FISH........which I am deathly allerfic to!

*heavy sigh*.........I would KILL for a good lasagna or some baked Ziti!

and I dont want to complain.....because I am being followed by some idiots, who keep thumbs downing everything I say...........

but, really man...........what's the DEAL at the post office???????

I'm sorry dude......but you people really need to get it together at the post offices. Running out of stamps, at the post office...........that's just ridiculous.

and 15 windows.........and only one open.......with two hour waits, just to pick up a package......while it appears, 14 people are sitting in the back room......watching soccer or something.

I've seen this.........it's a disgrace. Our time is valauble too.

but hey........let's not nitpick.......I live in San Remo, near enough to the beach, on a vineyard, with olive and fruit trees, .............so hey.........life is GOOD!
