Answer on What do the Rotary Exchange people look for in possible exchange students?
I haven't personally done it (although I'm planning/hoping to!), but my friend's in Belgium with rotary right now. She said the application/selection/preparation process (applications, interviews, camps, etc.) was extremely rigorous!
From what I know from her, try to have good grades, community service, leadership positions (like being president of a club or being in student government), be emotionally strong (they ask personal questions and you have to be able to handle everything), and be a fun good outgoing person in general! I'm sure they don't want to accept someone that's not gonna get all they can from the experience.
