Another hard problem!?

The angle of elevation to the top of the Arch of Septimus Severus, in Rome, Italy is 34 degrees 13' 12" when measured from a distance of 100 ft from the base of the tower. What is the height of the tower? Explain.

Help is appreciated. :)

Answer on Another hard problem!?

this is basic trig, the height is the opposite side of a triangle, the distance away is the adjacent side of the triangle, so we want tan X = opp / adj
tan 34°13' 12" = h/100
h = 100 tan 34°13' 12"
= 68ft (nearest foot) - its 68.01097031 in the calculator
